How to calculate the cost of your holiday

Total holiday price = Hire charge + Damage waiver + Fuel deposit + Optional extras - Discount

At the end of your holiday you will receive a refund of the fuel deposit to the value of the fuel remaining in the tank.

The hire charge includes cancellation insurance.

Damage waiver

The damage waiver (£45 for a short break / £55 for a week or more, £75 on Blue Kestrel) indemnifies you against accidental damage caused to the boat or third-party property for the duration of your hire period. It should be noted however that it does not cover deliberate, reckless, or negligent damage.

Fuel deposit

The fuel deposit is £100 (£150 on Blue Kestrel). This covers the cost of fuel in the tank at the start of your holiday. At the end of your holiday you will receive a refund for the unused fuel in the tank.

Optional extras

Priority boarding: If you wish to embark on your holiday at 1pm instead of the standard 4pm, there is an additional charge of £45. This service is available only when booked in advance.

Extra persons: Some of our craft will accommodate extra persons in additional berths. The cost for each additional individual is £30 per week, although under-16's are free of charge. This is available on Blue Kestrel. Please contact us for details.

Pets: We welcome pets on all of our boats. We charge £40 per pet per week and ask that you bring bedding for your pet.

Parking: We offer secure garaging for your cars at £18 per car per week, or £10 for short breaks. For bookings made direct with us, secure garaging is included free of charge.

Late return: If you wish to return from your holiday at 11am instead of the standard 9am, there is an additional charge of £25. This service is available only when booked in advance.

Rowing boat: We have rowing boats available for hire for the duration of your holiday. The cost is £40 per boat per week.

Sailing dinghy: We have sailing dinghies available for hire for the duration of your holiday. The cost is £50 per dinghy per week.

Map: It is essential you have a navigation map of the Broads (Ordnance Survey maps and road maps are not suitable). We supply maps at £5 each.

Discounts

Fortnights: Discounts are available for multi-week holidays. The level of discount varies according to the season. For holidays starting before 3rd July or after 26th August, the discount is 15% off the lower priced week. For holidays starting between 3rd July and 26th August, the discount is 10% off the lower priced week.

Twos and Fours: Discounts are available for under-occupancy on larger boats. If there are two people on a week's holiday on a four berth boat we offer £50 off the price of the holiday. Likewise, if there are four people on a week's holiday on an eight berth boat we offer £75 off the price of the holiday. These offers do not apply during the week commencing 27th May and from 10th July to 4th September.
